Tractor Zoom recently launched its new Tractor Zoom Pro Appraisals product that allows dealers to digitally catalog equipment, evaluate comparable sales against auction, retail, and first-party sold data, and generate customer appraisals in the field or office, all within a single platform. The new product seamlessly integrates with Tractor Zoom Pro equipment data ensuring that evaluations are not only turned faster but generate appraisals that are backed by over $34B of real-time, used equipment sales data.
“We’re thrilled to provide equipment dealers a more effective and efficient way to ingest high-quality equipment data from the start,” says Kyle McMahon, Founder and CEO of Tractor Zoom. “However, it isn’t enough for us to create a solution that only streamlined the cataloging process. We are committed to equipping our dealer partners with a solution that also leverages data and technology to inform their appraisals, enhance the customer experience, and ultimately, improves deal turn.”
From standardized equipment data ingestion to automated workflows, real-time notifications, and centralized data management, Tractor Zoom Pro Appraisals help dealers streamline the historically manual, administrative, or cross-platform tasks required for cataloging and appraising equipment – from the initial visit to the farm, all the way to publishing the final website listing from a won evaluation.
How Tractor Zoom Pro Appraisals work
Equipment cataloging
A pivotal feature of the Appraisal product is its entirely digital equipment cataloging workflow, accessed via the Tractor Zoom Pro App. This forward-looking process mirrors dealership’s existing cataloging procedures while automatically surfacing relevant attributes based on the equipment category and subcategory. This tailored approach eliminates irrelevant data fields, empowering users to concentrate on only the essential specifications that drive the best value for their customer.
“We’ve seen that standardizing the inputs collected in the field helps speed up the appraisal process because the used equipment team has access to all the relevant information the first time, without needing to circle back to the salesman,” says Tyler Lowy, Senior Account Executive at Tractor Zoom. “It also ensures cleaner data ingestion and integration with business systems, which helps the used equipment team make more informed and accurate appraisals.”
Equipment photos are seamlessly captured via the device’s camera and uploaded directly to the Tractor Zoom Pro App, where the user continues to manage the process of collecting and cataloging the relevant equipment specifications. Offline capabilities ensure uninterrupted productivity even in remote areas with unreliable internet connectivity, bolstering users’ productivity during farm visits.
Evaluation and appraisal
Once field evaluations are submitted, used equipment managers receive in-app and email notifications alerting them of a potential trade awaiting appraisal. Based on the inputs collected during the cataloging process, Tractor Zoom Pro Appraisals will map that data to $34B of equipment sales housed in Tractor Zoom Pro to help used equipment managers identify an average auction value, retail value, and prior first-party sale values.
Once a final trade-in value is secured, sales teams are swiftly notified, enabling prompt follow-ups with customers and increasing the potential for a successful close. Real-time notifications ensure that appraisals remain a priority, propelling effective engagement with customers, and ultimately fostering higher win rates.
“The sooner we can get [trade-in] information in, get an accurate description, and an idea of what we’re looking at for trade, we can get that number back to the salesman and the quicker they can get back to the customer and hopefully close a deal,” says Ben Friedhoff, General Manager of Ziegler Ag and initial beta-user of
Tractor Zoom Pro Appraisals. “In today’s market, obviously everything is about time and speed, and the sooner we can get that done, the higher success rate we’re going to have.”
Integration with business systems
Beyond connecting with dealerships’ Tractor Zoom Pro Inventory data, the Tractor Zoom Pro platform has the ability to integrate with various critical business systems, from website content management systems (CMS), to customer relationship management (CRM) software, or dealer management systems (DMS). The ability to natively integrate with other business systems enables dealers to accelerate their sales process and seamlessly convert won evaluations into live inventory listings.
“Our mission at Tractor Zoom is to bridge the gap between heavy machinery data and business decisions by building powerful solutions that leverage data and technology,” says McMahon. “This new Appraisal product reflects our commitment to creating value for dealer partners and continuously driving innovation in the market.”
